“This is an amazing place to live,” said Mona Valenty, Community Manager for Oaks Landing. “The building itself is beautiful, both inside and out. It has a wonderful high-quality feel to it. And this is a delightful area of New Brighton. We are surrounded by lakes, parks, walking paths, even the Mississippi River.”With your pet dog, you can explore a plethora of paths and parks. The neighborhood is safe, friendly, and boasts an abundance of open space – five major parks are located within four miles. Also nearby are numerous shopping and dining options, and access to major highways (I-94, 694 and 35W). Residents can also take advantage of the many activities for all ages at the nearby New Brighton Community Center home to the popular Eagles Nest Indoor Playground, fitness center, Ramsey County Library, plus the Wednesday Farmers Market (3-minute drive or 13-minute walk).
Currently under construction, Oaks Landing is a 204-unit development designed for active adults, age 55+. Outstanding features of the new community include affordable rent ($1,195/month up to $1,776), impressively spacious apartments (up to 1,430 sq. ft.), underground heated parking, 24/7 emergency maintenance, an electronic key fob deadbolt locking system, outdoor courtyard and grilling stations, plus on-site management. The extensive range of amenities include a cards/crafts room to pursue your hobbies, a large community room for gatherings, a cozy fireplace, a well-equipped fitness center, library, storage lockers, business center, high-speed internet and Wi-Fi access, walking paths, beauty salon, picnic/grilling areas, outdoor dog stations, and much more.Every apartment-home features energy-efficient Energy Star kitchen appliances, a full-size washer/dryer, real granite countertops, 9-foot ceiling, walk-in closets, a balcony or patio, carpeted bedrooms, a kitchen pantry and hard-wood cabinets.Best of all, this is a community that fosters numerous opportunities to meet your neighbors, participate in activities and events, celebrate holidays and birthdays, go on outings, join a yoga group, enjoy movies or just sit around the firepit and make friends!“We organize a few things, like a free monthly pancake breakfast or an occasional taco night, but we don’t have an activity director on staff. The residents at similar Dominium senior communities enjoy planning their own get-togethers,” explained Valenty. In fact, something is happening almost every day. It is impressive all the activities they organize. We’ve had groups hold art classes, book clubs, chili-making contests, knitting groups, craft projects, and Silver Sneaker exercise sessions. We supply the materials that they might need such as bingo or croquet paraphernalia and they take care of the rest.“Everything, of course, is optional,” Valenty added. “Some residents enjoy the variety of activities; others prefer to do their own thing. The opportunities are there if they are interested.”Reserve Your Oaks Landing Home Soon (and avoid the wait list)Oaks Landing doesn’t just look like a luxury community for active independent adults.
